The solution has always been the same: Training and sterilization.
Following along this path and mindset, From Monday October the 15th up until Sunday October 21st , our volunteers presented the
educational program: “following a four-legged friend” to 1200 students of 11 elementary schools of the municipality of West Achaia, cultivating a different approach towards animals to the minds of young students. The new generation is our only hope for a future without animal abuse and abandonment, as well as a future where humans and animals could coexist harmoniously.
During the second phase of the program, 135 dogs were gathered from the industrial area οf Achaia, as well as close-by villages, by our volunteers in collaboration with the local animal welfare organization “Hellas”.
The dogs were σterilized and vaccinated by Greek vet volunteers. The head vet of the program being our organization’s vet Dr. Christos Ktenas and his colleagues: Theodoros Mpalmenis, Lazaros Karnasos, Nikos Papatheodorou, Thomas Svigkas and Chrysa Simou.
The vets worked tirelessly and selflessly for two days, in order to successfully complete such an important and huge task.
