Fanoula was found abandoned in the villages of Mani, in the middle of the summer, without water or shade anywhere, and without her people.

She is a very human-centered dog, and the abandonment must have been a huge shock to her.

She was found by one of our volunteers and came to Athens, where she is in hospitality. He is an obedient dog, very quiet, and clean at home.

She goes for a walk and then sits calmly next to you wherever you are and whatever you do, and that, as good as it sounds, is her biggest problem.

Fani becomes overly attached to her caregiver, and being alone at home will be a process she will have to learn all over again.

Obviously, mistakes were made in the house where she was before, and Fani never became independent. This is not good for her, and the stress she experiences when she is alone is something she will have to overcome.

She is very sweet, very easy-going, and very intelligent, and it will take one of her families an education at first, so that Fani can manage stress when she is alone.

Just because she's stressed at home doesn't mean she'll be stressed exactly the same way in a new home, but that's something that's in her character.

It will not be easy for her to adapt to a home where the whole family will be away for work for eight hours, nor is it a solution to always have someone with her and never be left alone. She will have to learn to spend a few hours alone, and this will be done gradually, with help from us and a trainer.
