Lois (reserved)

Lois (reserved)

This is Lois. Lois is like a penguin dressed as a clown. It has a small, soufling head on an oval body, which as it goes down the more it opens, until it seems to spill onto the floor. In addition to her eyes, which are as if someone has painted them around her because she was going to a masquerade party, dressed as a harlequin, she also has a smile that forms on the edges of her lips, and makes her look like she has just eaten a lemon cup that soured her but at the same time she liked it.

The more stressed she is, the more she smiles, and Lois is often stressed. The closer people get, the more stressed they get. And her training is slow and funny, like her, and consists mainly of what you see in the photo. That is, nothing seemingly, but the very important essentially. Inside the room we are four people too, and she learns to coexist without fear.

Yes we want to zoom it in, no it doesn't do yet. Dogs like Lois we have a lot. We didn't put her up for adoption for a while because she was not ready for a house. But she has reached a point in her training where she can be functional in a home.

She will need time and space in the begining, and she needs an owner with some basic understanding and maybe some experience.

Dogs like her are in great danger of being lost during the first weeks of their adoption, because anything can scare them, and the owners sometimes don't understand the precaustions that need to be taken.

One of her most impressive moves is the way she gives her paw. She gives it to you, you pet her belly, and then she gives it again and again. It's her thing. It's her way of coping with stress when she is close to someone, and it's the cutes thing about her.

Barney (reserved)

Barney (reserved)

He smiles wholeheartedly, with his body posture, and his face, even his eyes, despite being blind. When you interact with him, taking him for a walk, petting him, and talking to him, he becomes the proudest dog in the world, sitting there so dignified and basking in pride.

He is the favorite of many of us because he is unique, not because he is blind. His blindness simply gives him something even more unique. If guided properly, he can become the perfect pet.

He has so much trust in people that he could follow them to the ends of the earth. So what if he can't see? He trusts you, who can.He is an incredibly affectionate dog, who when petted smiles and stands proud and dignified, looking like an angel. If we were to have a child draw an angel in the form of a dog, they would draw Barney.

Even in the city, he moves around without problems, even though he is blind. When he enters a new place, he maps it out on his own.

He had been hosted in a house for a month, and from the second day, he found the garden where he always went to the bathroom, and he learned the house from the outside and inside.

What someone who adopts a blind dog should pay attention to is the proper guidance outside - stairs, changes in level on the ground, obstacles that he cannot see. Barney has learned the word "watch out" from us and can learn others (right, left, etc.)

Another thing that needs attention is moving furniture around the house and placing objects on the floor - a spoon, for example, that you temporarily have nowhere to put, will be an obstacle for Barney that can make him fall since he will have learned the house from the outside and will attempt to pass without realizing something is in front of him.It helps him a lot to hear his handler's voice, especially when he is outside and in a place he does not know.

In the shelter, we always introduce him to puppies. He tolerates them very well, which is rare for an adult dog; he puts them in their place very effectively when necessary, and once, when he didn’t understand us and it was evening, we saw him sleeping with one of the puppies curled up on him like it was normal.

The communication that most dogs understand. What he essentially says is, "Watch out, keep your distance." At home, although he is affectionate, he is quite independent; he stays and relaxes by himself, and when you come back from work, he might come to greet you and then go back to lie down in his spot.

He truly is a wonderful creature. You will fall in love with his smile, you will love his pure soul, and you will live with him harmoniously and sweetly.

Batida (reserved)

Batida (reserved)

Batida had come for spaying when we were at our 8th action in Filippiada in 2023, and she would dance inside the crate every time she saw us, happy and dancing even more.

She was a tiny little dog that we would take out of the crate for a bit, and she would dance around the room with all the mischievousness and charm you can imagine. We couldn't leave such a dog on the street again, so of course, she came with us to Athens.

She continued to dance at the shelter and gives kisses and cuddles to everyone, both people and dogs.Batida was adopted quickly, but unfortunately returned after two years. We don't want to mention the reason as it concerns very personal family matters. She was returned to us in tears, and it was a very difficult decision made for the dog's well-being.

Batida is a wonderful little dog, truly wonderful.

She is excellent at home, she is clean, incredibly sweet, affectionate, and carries within her the joy of the world.

Not the overwhelming kind of joy, but the light-hearted joy that makes you want to spend time with her.She truly deserves to find again what she has lost. She is incredibly social and friendly with all dogs and all people, and she loves with all her being.

Morocco (reserved)

Morocco (reserved)

We first got from the public pound of Tripoli on October 23 as a shy puppy until today little has changed.

He remains shy, remains sweet, remains a cute, flabby, short dog with long ears and a shyness in his manners and behavior.

Morocco is a very good dog, shy but cooperative, hesitant but cheerful, quiet but sociable.

He is one of those dogs that give you the impression that no matter how mature they are, they will forever remain shy children, like those who hide behind their mom's skirt, like those who get something from their friends' confidence without ever coming forward and taking initiative.

He's the sweet, good kid who never bothers, who everyone likes, who doesn't make his presence felt but who when he's not there, you miss him.

Jason (reserved)

Jason (reserved)

Jason is a dog whose soul is as beautiful as his appearance.

What you see in him when you look at his photos, this innocence and sweetness that comes out of his face, that's also in the character.

It is a very kind, sweet and tender dog. He is very good with other animals and excellent with people.

He will love you from the first moment, he will smile at you, he will come for caresses, he will come with you for a walk, you will have the desire to take him and leave.

It is like a cloud of joy and softness that will beautify your life.

We met him in the public pound of Tripolis, where he was slowly fading away neglected. He came with us to Athens on May 22nd, weighing only 16 kilos. He is starving, but is gorgeous and finally safe. He deserves the best home, and we'll make sure that he finds it.

Eva (reserved)

Eva (reserved)

When she is happy, Eva smiles with her whole face, sweet and pure.

Her smile means only joy and nothing else, nothing complicated or complex. Pure joy. And Evaki is a dog that delights in the simplest things.

A walk, for example, and a little attention, and although she may be hesitant at first, within the first three minutes she will smile and let go of the moment.

And when she's somewhere she doesn't exactly feel comfortable, the smile goes away and in its place hanging faces appear, which hanging her face are very cute, because they contrast so much with the smile she had before, that you get confused and then you just smile, and you give her some time to get used to this new situation she is in.

Which condition can be your home because you just adopted it.

The first time with Eve will be a combination of the above two conditions, until she finds her balance and gets used to the new reality.

She found herself tied to a thick chain in a Roma camp, trying to breastfeed her babies and left in her misery. She looked great, but she was only a year old.

He came to Athens and went straight to hospitality. She learned to live very harmoniously with cats, and was at home quiet and very clean. He'll probably need a little patience with the toilet at first, because when he's in a new place with noise and unfamiliar stimuli, he's scared.
