MELPO

MELPO

Hello there! I am Melpo! Everyone here says I am a cute, beautiful girl. All I am going to say personally is that I don’t like being held in a cage. Have you seen the video where I sneaked out of my cage on save a Greek stray’s Instagram page?!  It was very funny the first time I decided to do it.

Once Manos put me in my cage and went on to the next one, I got the chance to sneak out and headed to my favorite little corner of the shelter. You should have seen Mano’s face when he found out. He couldn’t really figure out how I managed to do it. I tried to explain to him, but he wouldn’t understand. Vivi made fun of him and told him that he had Alzheimer! Eventually, they found out about my tricks and ever since then my nickname is…Sneaky!

I am a calm, authentic 5-year-old girl that loves to chill. Ok, I like to be petted too..but not as much as all the other dogs. Generally, I want some peace & quiet in my life. A nice cozy corner from which I’d be able to watch what each one of you is doing…and possibly even imitate you. Would you be willing to offer me a corner in your home?

A family that will only show you the good side of people. Until then, you can only adopt Pipoyo virtually.

NALA

NALA

This girl is simply one of a kind. It's as if she personifies everything we are trying to explain about the huge dogs, the misunderstood, the lazy, the sleeping Buddhas that lay in a corner and simply exist just to make the environment look nicer and to make you smile. It's as if her purpose in life is to prove that the bigger the dog, the quieter it is. Nala exists to make you smile, to lay on your feet and snore while you pet her. She loves to have her neck rubbed, her ears and her belly. She sits there while we brush her and cuddle her for hours. The only thing she does to make you realize that she is there is to poke you with her paw if you stop petting. She is a very tender and lazy dogs, trapped in the body of a bear. No matter how much we enjoy her presence, we don't want to have her around at the shelter. She deserves better. So she is looking for a home, but..ermmm..her new family would have to be the less athletic possible!

Nala was extremely weak when she was found due to starvation. She was also suffering from mange and her condition was difficult to treat due to hormonic disorder because of a thyroid malfunction. At the same time, it was observed on her ultrasound that she was suffering atrophy of one of her kidneys
