This is Aria. We already know half of where she comes from. Her mum is Daya, a mix breed sweetheart that came to the shelter with the ten babies. We know nothing about the dad though, but given the fact that Aria looks nothing like her mum, she probably takes after the dad, who appears to be a German Shepherd mix (or something like that).
She is social, very sweet and a bit shy when she’s in unfamiliar territory, but she eager to learn everything, as long as you are willing to teach her the right way. She’s looking for a home where to be loved and treated as a member of the family.
In a deserted, uninhabited small island, somewhere in the Aegean sea, in a place where abandonned and forgotten animals were trying to survive , Penelope was struggling to raise her newborn puppies. Rescue came with a group of volunteers who tried hard to to collect and protect the ones still alive and transfered Penelope to the shelter, where she could raise her 5 puppies in peace.
Her babies have been adopted but our Penelope is currently getting a treatment since she is suffering from adult heartworms. Once her therapy is over, she will be ready to find the home she deserves! Until then, she can only be adopted virtually
Oh! We forgot to mention a few words about our Penelope...but I think we are only going to stick to 2 words that discribe her perfectly: Simply WONDERFUL!
Imagine being in the park (on a sunny Sunday, full of people, neighbors, kids, dogs etc), yelling out "BABE!!", and while the heads turn to see which one of the tiny, fluffy white dogs will come, SHE appears, with those looks, and with the attitude of a big baby. And while the neighbors still think that there has been a mistake, and that the wrong dog came, you praise her loudly saying "GOOD GIRL BABE", and walk away with her, smiling. We didn't name our girl Babe for no reason, she is exactly that, a big baby. You want to squeeze her and spoil her. She is looking for a home where she will have everything she ever dreamed of, and she will pay you back with that look, that chubbiness, and all the affection in the world.
Not the reindeer but our little shorty. Rudolf, is a calm, tender, loving fella who overthinks about life sometimes and you can tell from his wandering gaze. Lost somewhere in space. Being around him would make you feel as if it’s Christmas all year round. Rudolf is still looking for a warm home that will make him feel as magical as he is himself.
The only place where she feels comfortable is the sea. We took her for a walk down to the beach one day, and she walked into the water on her own, as if it were the most obvious thing she could do. The next time we had to wear a swimsuit, because he wanted to get in to swim.
Tosca is a dog that has not been socialized enough and is afraid. She is afraid of cars, she is afraid of people she does not know, she is afraid of places she is not familiar with, he is afraid of anything with which she has not been in contact.
When she is in the water she is another dog. She does not play or splash with the waters, do not imagine a dog like the one we see on TV ads. She just swims. And when she swims it's probably the only moment when Tosca seems to be in perfect harmony with her body. She is calm, and swims calmly and slowly, as if she is where she belongs.
There are not many homes that are ideal for Tosca, but there are certainly some, and no it is not necessary that they are close to the sea.
They are homes that are ideally not located in a densely populated area nor near a very main road. Homes where very small children do not live. Homes where there is patience. A lot of patience, not because Tosca will bother a lot, but because she won't bother at all, in fact, she'll probably be there but she won't, she'll be invisible.
It will take her long to look comfortable and it will take her a long time to look happy, but with patience and with proper handling, at some point her body and her mind will relax, as they relax when she is in the water.
The "training" of such dogs is like this is anyway, like the sea water in the days of the heatwave, which is completely still, and does not push you, does not rush you, does not seem to lead you somewhere with violence, just keeps you on the surface, and while you think that you are floating on your own, it essentially leads you gently and slowly to where it wants.

Elegance and style like no other! Yeah…those things for sure do not characterize our girl Anna.
Just an easygoing, loving dog that’s been through some tough times –like most of our dogs really.
Anna is a very calm dog, she was found alone with her puppies.
She is looking for a loving home that will make her feel like she is part of a family.
