We named her Ahni, which means powedered sugar, because that's what she's like. Gentle and soft. Not in the coat, but in the character.
She's like a fluid and soft presence in space, not solid, and the way she sits and hangs out on the couch for hours, it's like having a piece of sugar at home.
Ahni found herself on the street, along with her sister Sahara, when she was around one year old. She is a dog that will come home, sit on the couch and hang out there. And she may never move again, for hours.
She does the same when we take her to a training club. She is sitting. Many times she falls asleep during the "lesson". She gets up, takes two steps, eats a treat and lies down again.
Ahni has been fostered twice, both times in a house with cats, with whom the gets along perfectly. In the first house she was a model dog. Perfectly. Clean, quiet, she stayed alone for several hours, ate her food, went for walks and slept.
Achni has been hosted twice, both times in a house with cats, with whom she gets along perfectly. In the first house he was a model dog. Perfect. Clean, quiet, she lived alone for several hours, ate her food, went for walks and slept. In the second house he was not a model dog.
All this means is that Achni is a dog that is greatly influenced by the environment in which it lives, and by the handling of the people around it.
