Pumba came with his mom and two brothers when we were in Epirus, for the 8th sterilization action. She was only a month old at the time, and she was still breastfeeding.
The whole family came with us to Athens. The little one was weaned, grew, grew further, and became a tall, lanky and impressive dog.
These colors and these designs on his face make him look like he is wearing an artistic mask.
He was always very, very, very sweet babe, and while we were in action he was neutered he was our favorite, because he was the most chubby, the shyest, and the only one of his siblings who wasn't white.
Growing up, it was always the puppy who did not take the initiative, but would try to imitate the rest of the puppies. If his friends played with a toy, he would try to play too.
If his friends ran, he would run too. If his friends went to people for caresses, he would go too, last, with an innocence and a hesitation that was very cute.
If you touch it, you will catch the most special coat available in a dog (in our opinion!). It is dense, curly-like, although not long to curl, with hard hair and too dense. TOO dense. The fingers do not fit to go inside and reach the skin.
This sheep's coat combined with his innocent character make him special
.
Pumba is a dog who wants to be confident, but doesn't know how. He was overly dependent on his brother when he was a baby, and later began to cling to other dogs at the shelter.
When he is alone he is not confident at all, while when there is another dog on his walk or in his space, he is much more open, and this is within the framework of his character.
He is the dog who will need time to open up and gain confidence, but will be cooperative, even if he is shy.
We love him very much. Maybe it's because he's so innocent, maybe because he's the only one of them all.
